The sound collective asabe [all sounds are born equal] is an experimental laboratory within the Department of Music Studies at the Ionian University. For the past 20 years, it has been exploring and repairing natural, organic and artificial sounds and soundscapes. It experiments with structured and intuitive improvisations and works towards achieving equality for all sounds. Among its performances are concerts on bus line 2, in Corfu, in Athens, Italy, Vienna, Prespes, and Thessaloniki. In its current form, asabe consists of Ioannis Vardakis, Aliki Karali, Thanos Tsavouselis, Stelios Tsiloglou. Ensemble direction: Theodoros Lotis, Philippos Theocharidis.
Το ηχητικό συνεργείο asabe [all sounds are born equal] αποτελεί ένα πειραματικό φυτώριο ανάμεσα στα σύνολα του Τμήματος Μουσικών Σπουδών στο Ιόνιο Πανεπιστήμιο. Τα τελευταία 20 χρόνια αναζητά και επισκευάζει φυσικούς, οργανικούς και τεχνητούς ήχους και ηχοτοπία. Πειραματίζεται μεταξύ δομημένων και διαισθητικών αυτοσχεδιασμών και εργάζεται για την κατάκτηση της ισότητας όλων των ήχων. Μεταξύ των εμφανίσεών του περιλαμβάνονται συναυλίες στο λεωφορείο της γραμμής 2, στην Κέρκυρα, στην Αθήνα, στην Ιταλία, στη Βιέννη, στις Πρέσπες και στη Θεσσαλονίκη.
