Countless shapes populate our visible and invisible world. Among the forms that appeal most to the mind is the spiral. The single, double or multiple spiral in two or more dimensions is found everywhere in the universe, e.g. in the eddies of rivers or gases, in the tendrils of plants, in DNA, in accelerated radiation, in whirlwinds and galaxies. For this work, the shape of the simple spiral was studied in depth in two dimensions. The sounds that make it up are mechanical sounds taken from recordings and electronic sounds synthesized in the sonic pi program.

Αμέτρητες μορφές κατοικούν τον ορατό και αόρατο κόσμο μας. Μεταξύ των μορφών που προσελκύουν περισσότερο το μυαλό είναι η σπείρα. Η απλή, διπλή ή πολλαπλή σπείρα σε δύο ή περισσότερες διαστάσεις συναντάται παντού στο σύμπαν, π.χ. στις δίνες των ποταμών ή των αερίων, στις έλικες των φυτών, στο DNA, στην επιταχυνόμενη ακτινοβολία, στους ανεμοστρόβιλους και στους γαλαξίες. Για το έργο αυτό, μελετήθηκε σε βάθος το σχήμα της απλής σπείρας σε δύο διαστάσεις. Το κοινό μπορεί να επιλέξει την όρθια ή την οριζόντια στάση του κεφαλιού του ώστε να μπορεί να αντιλαμβάνεται διαφορετικά τα ηχητικά σχηματα που δημιουργούνται στο κομματι.
